Pharmacy First Services- Kentish Town and Camden

The Pharmacy First scheme provides advice, treatment and medicines for common ailments from the Fine Chemist – without the need for a visit to a general practitioner (GP) or another healthcare professional.

Patients can access the NHS Pharmacy First service for the following conditions, currently:

  • Sinusitis
  • Sore throat
  • Acute otitis media
  • Infected insect bite
  • Impetigo
  • Shingles
  • Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.

Under each of these conditions, the pharmacy will be able to prescribe certain prescription-only medicines.

Advice from your Community Pharmacist is always free. You will be seen promptly by a member of our pharmacy team and you can ask to be seen in private. Pharmacists are highly qualified health professionals and are experts in the use of medicines.

Community Pharmacists are also the doorway to NHS services and can advise if your condition needs to be seen by another health professional such as a GP.
